Midwife with a Master’s degree in Public Health and a PhD in Biomedical Research Methodology and Public Health from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has a solid track record in primary health care and extensive experience in university teaching and research.

She currently serves as Director and Editor of the Journal Matronería Actual at the University of Valparaíso, demonstrating her commitment to disseminating knowledge and evidence-based midwifery practice.

Her main areas of specialization and research include Family and Community Health, Midwifery in Schools, and the Elimination of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B, and Chagas Disease. She also has training in public health, epidemiology, demography, research methodology, family health, and health management.
